About the Academy

The Comeback Institutional Leadership Academy

A structured development system designed to rebuild mindset, cultivate discipline, and develop principled leadership — while individuals are still incarcerated. Built on 21 years of firsthand experience inside the Florida Department of Corrections.

"Transformation does not begin at the gate. It begins inside. It begins with mindset."

Who We Serve

Approaching Release

Participants nearing the gate receive a disciplined, measurable exit strategy grounded in financial readiness, workforce development, and structured accountability.

Extended or Life Sentences

For those who may never see release, the Academy delivers identity, purpose, discipline, and the dignity of growth — building a legacy of excellence from within.

Gang Affiliation Policy

Understanding the serious and far reaching impact that gang culture can have on any structured environment, including its ability to destabilize an entire dormitory population and undermine individuals who are genuinely committed to change, the Academy maintains a zero tolerance policy for any gang related conduct, affiliation activity, or influence within the program environment. This is absolute and non negotiable.

The Academy actively welcomes individuals who are currently involved in or transitioning out of gang culture. This is precisely the population this program was built for. If you are ready to make a genuine commitment to transformation, this Academy will meet you where you are — and build from there. Acceptance is extended to those who demonstrate readiness through their conduct and record.

Acceptance Criteria

1

No documented gang-related disciplinary report (DR) within the past 6 months

2

No recent Security Threat Group (STG) activity on record

3

A demonstrated and sincere effort toward personal transition and transformation

Participation is a privilege. Earned through conduct, character, and commitment.

Our Mission

Purpose. Preparation. Execution.

Our mission is to develop disciplined, structured thinkers who are preparing for life beyond incarceration while they are still inside.

We focus on mindset reconstruction, personal accountability, financial literacy, workforce preparation, business education, mentorship alignment, and strategic exit planning.

Correctional institutions provide structure and security. Sustainable transition requires additional alignment from outside professionals, sponsors, mentors, and leadership from someone who has lived the experience and successfully transitioned beyond it.

This Academy builds mental discipline while incarcerated and practical readiness for transition.

The goal is mindset transformation.

The goal is discipline and execution.

The goal is growth — for every man, at every stage.

Our Vision

To establish a replicable model of institutional education that transforms correctional facilities into centers of personal development and leadership training.

"Building tomorrow's leaders from within today's institutions."

Our Core Values

These principles guide everything we do at the Academy.

Discipline

Rooted in structure, discipline, and the commitment to show up every day with purpose.

Accountability

Structured progress with clear goals and measurable outcomes.

Resilience

Building the mental toughness to overcome adversity and keep moving forward.

Excellence

Pursuing the highest standards in education and personal development.

Integrity

Operating with transparency and ethical commitment in all things.

Continuous Learning

Embracing growth through lifelong education and skill development.
